Advanced Technology
ASIRD teams utilize advanced dental implant technology to perform various procedures.
Advanced dental implant technology
Placing an implant is not simply a matter of inserting a screw into the hole to replace your missing tooth. Your ASIRD team will need to make a detailed assessment of your overall mouth and jaw to determine how best to place your implant for your particular situation. They will prepare study models of your mouth and bite. They will also want to make a 3D CT scan or computerized tomogram of your mouth and teeth. This careful assessment and planning of the exact placement and torque required for your implant results in exactly the right position in your bone to ensure the restored tooth will not only look natural, but will function properly.
Digital impression
Your dentist and surgeon use state-of-the-art digital dental implant technology specifically designed to deliver optimal results. A digital impression obtained through an intraoral scanner captures oral images of your teeth and gums without the need for awkward dental trays and impression materials.
Digital Design
Upon acquisition of the digital image, your dentist works in concert with a digitally enabled dental laboratory to design the abutment and crown.
Digital manufacturing
After design approval, the digital design is electronically sent to an enterprise-milling machine to mill the abutment and crown. This machine is highly accurate and undergoes tolerate testing multiple times throughout the day to ensure the milling process meets high tolerance specifications.
Custom artistic finish
After milling, the dental laboratory customizes the product with patient specific coloration and glazing.
Cone Beam Computer Tomography
Treatment planning and diagnosis have been revolutionized with the use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). Your surgeon and dentist routinely use this digital imaging technology to generate three-dimensional images of your bones and teeth. This technology can minimize surgical treatment, time, cost and complications.
